Tags or article counts look wrong

Most cases here come down to timing: tags and counts are refreshed by a background crawl rather than computed live on every page view. See How tags are found for the full explanation of why.

A tag I just added isn't showing up

Tag a new article, then switch to the app. The tag won't be listed until the next crawl runs. Click Refresh tags, on the Home page, the Blogs page, or the blog's own page, to pull it in immediately rather than waiting for the nightly run.

Article counts seem off

Two common, expected reasons:

• The count is a day old. Counts update with the same crawl as tag discovery, so click Refresh tags to bring them current.
• An article has more than one tag. The count next to each tag is how many articles carry that tag, not a share of the blog's total. An article with three visible tags adds one to each of their three counts. Added across every tag, that will always be higher than the blog's actual article total when tags overlap, which is expected rather than a bug. See Article count badges.

A tag I removed from every article is still listed

This clears on the next crawl too: either wait for the nightly run or click Refresh tags. If it's still listed after a manual refresh, contact support and mention the tag name and blog.

"Most articles" or "Most clicked" order looks stale

Both ordering modes are based on data updated periodically rather than instantly. See Tag order for how each is calculated and how often it refreshes.
