The "All" pill and clear control

By default, the bar leads with an All pill that clears any active tag filter and returns to the full article list. It can be turned off from the Design page's Behaviour section if you'd rather the bar started directly with your tags.

Automatic behaviour in multi-select

When multi-select filtering is turned on, the All pill is automatically suppressed even if the setting is left on. With several tags selectable at once, "All" and "nothing selected" mean the same thing, so a separate clear-filters link takes its place instead. You don't need to remember to turn All off yourself when enabling multi-select; it happens automatically.

Where the clear link sits

The clear link only appears once at least one tag is actually selected — an unfiltered blog has nothing to clear, so nothing shows. It sits on its own line rather than in the row of tags, on whichever side of the row reads better for your layout: above a scrolling row, which a reader's eye leaves at the right-hand edge, and below a wrapping grid, which ends where it ends.

Wording

Both "All" and the clear-filters text are part of the ten rewritable words available on any paid plan. On the free plan they use the storefront's own translated defaults, which already match your store's active language.
