Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Filter My Blog ("the app"), provided by Marti Belegu, a sole trader based in Tirana, Republic of Albania ("we," "us," "our"). By installing or using the app, you ("you," "the merchant") agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install or use the app.

1. What the app is

Filter My Blog is a Shopify app that adds a tag filter bar to a merchant's blog listing pages, with an embedded admin for managing tags, styling, search and analytics. It is distributed through the Shopify App Store and installed directly onto your Shopify store. Full functional detail is in the documentation.

2. Eligibility and account

You must have the authority to install apps on the Shopify store you use the app with, typically as the store owner or an authorised staff account. You're responsible for activity that happens under your store's installation of the app.

3. Licence

Subject to these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on your Shopify store for as long as it remains installed and, where applicable, your subscription remains active. You may not reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or use the app to build a competing product.

4. Plans, billing and trials

The app offers a free plan and two paid plans (Plus and Pro), each with a 7-day trial. Billing is handled entirely through Shopify's own subscription billing system. We never collect your payment card details directly, and charges appear on your Shopify invoice rather than a separate one from us. Prices shown on this site and inside the app reflect what's configured in Shopify; Shopify's own billing record is authoritative if the two ever differ. See Pricing and Billing and trials for detail. Charges are final once a billing period begins and we do not issue refunds, because the trial is the evaluation period. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from within the app. Downgrading doesn't delete your settings. See Upgrading and downgrading.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to your store's content, including your blog articles and tags. You grant us a limited licence to read and process that content solely to provide the app's functionality, as described in the Privacy policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app, its infrastructure, or other merchants' data;
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation, including by attempting to circumvent plan entitlements; or
• Use the app in a manner that violates Shopify's own Acceptable Use Policy or Merchant Terms of Service.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the app available and performing reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The app may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, or due to factors outside our control, including outages of Shopify, our hosting provider, or our database provider.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the app will not exceed the total amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or, if you used only the free plan, zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law of the Republic of Albania or any other law that applies to you and cannot be contractually waived.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app or your violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by our own breach of these terms or negligence.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you materially breach these terms, or if required to do so by Shopify. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 8 through 10, will survive.

12. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app or these terms from time to time. If we make a material change to these terms, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tirana, Albania, except where applicable consumer protection law entitles you to bring a claim in your own local courts instead.

14. Shopify's own terms

Your use of Shopify itself is governed separately by Shopify's own terms of service, which continue to apply alongside these terms.
