What Filter My Blog does

Filter My Blog adds a tag filter bar to your Shopify blog's listing page. Readers click a tag and see only the articles carrying it; click "All" and the full list comes back. The bar's colours, shape and spacing are yours to set, from an admin embedded in your Shopify dashboard. There's no theme code to write.

The two halves

The app has two parts that work together:

• The admin, where you choose which tags show, how they're ordered, how the bar looks, and (on paid plans) how search and analytics behave.
• The storefront block, a small addition to your blog template that renders the bar readers actually see and click.

Whenever you save a change in the admin, it's written to your shop so the storefront block can read it directly. There's no delay while the app "publishes," and no separate step to make a change live beyond saving it.

Built on Shopify's own tags

There's nothing to import. The app reads the blogs and articles already in your store, along with whatever tags you've already applied to them, and lists every tag it finds. You choose which ones appear in the bar, rename any of them for display, and hide the rest. The underlying Shopify tag is never changed, only how it's shown.

Works with or without JavaScript

Every tag in the bar is a real link to Shopify's own tagged-article page (/blogs/your-blog/tagged/your-tag). That means filtering keeps working even if a reader has JavaScript disabled or a script fails to load: the bar degrades to ordinary navigation rather than breaking. Every blog, up to 12 tags each, and every visual preset are free permanently, not a trial.
