Showing, hiding and renaming tags
Open a blog from the Blogs page to manage its tags. Every tag Shopify has ever seen on that blog's articles is listed, whether or not it's currently shown.
Showing and hiding
Each tag has a switch. Turning it off removes that tag from the filter bar without touching the tag on your articles in Shopify; it's purely about what the bar displays. Turn every tag off and the block renders nothing at all on that blog's storefront page, rather than an empty bar.
Two buttons above the list, Show all and Hide all, apply to every tag currently matching your search, which makes it fast to hide everything and then re-enable just a handful.
Renaming for display
Each tag has a "Shown as" field. Leave it empty and the bar shows the tag exactly as it's written in Shopify; fill it in and the bar shows your text instead, while the underlying tag, and the URL the pill links to, stays the raw Shopify tag. This is display-only: renaming "sale-2024" to "On sale" doesn't rename the tag anywhere else in Shopify.
Note
Renaming for display is separate from rewording the fixed labels like "All" or "Clear filters". That's a Plus feature covering the bar's own words, not the tags themselves.
Finding a specific tag
The search field above the tag list filters by name as you type, which helps once a blog has more tags than fit on one screen. It searches only the tags already known to the app; a tag that doesn't exist yet on any article won't appear no matter what you search for, since there's nothing yet for the app to have found.
