What never changes by plan
Every visual setting, including presets, colours, corner radius, spacing, layout and alignment, is available for free and permanently. So is the number of blogs: a filter goes on every blog you publish, on every plan including the free one.
Upgrading is entirely about behaviour: how many tags each blog can show, how they're ordered, whether there's a search box, and whether you can see the analytics report. It never gates how the bar looks, or how many blogs it appears on.
The one free limit
Twelve tags per blog. A blog with more than that still gets a filter; it shows the first twelve in alphabetical order and the rest stay configured but unrendered until you upgrade. Nothing is deleted, and lifting the limit brings them straight back. See Tag limits.
How entitlement is enforced
Which features are active is decided by your current plan every time the storefront is rendered, not just when a setting is saved. That means a downgrade takes effect immediately on the live storefront, not only in the admin; see Upgrading and downgrading for exactly what that looks like in practice.
