For anyone who wants the short version rather than the full setup wizard walkthrough.
The five-minute path
- Install the app from the Shopify App Store listing.
- Let the import finish. The app reads your blogs and tags automatically, so there's nothing to configure.
- Pick a style preset on the Design page, or leave the default (Pill) as it is.
- Add the block to your theme. Use the app's Add as its own section link, then drag the section above your article list and save. This works regardless of which theme you're on.
- Visit your blog. The filter bar should be visible above your articles, showing every tag your first 12 (on the free plan) or all (on Plus and Pro) articles carry.
What to check if nothing appears
- Confirm the block was actually added and saved in the theme editor. Step 4 above is easy to leave half-done if the editor tab was closed before saving.
- Confirm at least one tag is set to visible for that blog, in the app's Blogs section. A blog with every tag hidden renders no bar by design.
- Give it a minute: a fresh install's first tag crawl can take a short while on a large store.
