Tag limits
The free plan shows up to 12 tags per blog. Plus and Pro remove the limit entirely. Every tag your articles carry can be shown, on as many blogs as you have.
What happens past the limit
On the free plan, the first 12 tags in your chosen order are shown; the rest exist in the app (you can still see, rename or reorder them) but don't render in the storefront bar until you either hide enough others to fit under 12, or upgrade.
The Blogs page and each blog's own page both show a running count, "9 of 14 tags shown", so it's clear at a glance whether the limit is currently in effect.
Nothing is deleted
Trimming to 12 tags is purely about what's shown; your full tag list, your rename choices and your manual ordering are all kept in full regardless of plan. Upgrade later and every tag beyond the twelfth reappears exactly where you'd already placed it. Nothing needs to be reconfigured.
Tip
If a blog has close to 12 relevant tags, hiding a handful of rarely-used ones (see Showing, hiding and renaming tags) is often enough to stay under the limit without upgrading.
