Changes aren't appearing on the storefront

Updated

Saving a change in the admin, whether a colour, a tag rename or a reorder, is meant to reach your storefront immediately, without a separate "publish" step. If it hasn't, work through these:

Check for a "Saved, but not live yet" banner

If this appears after saving, the change was recorded in the admin but the write to your store didn't complete on that attempt. Save again; if the banner keeps appearing, contact support with a bug report and mention that this banner is showing.

Rule out caching

Both your browser and, on some stores, a CDN can serve a slightly stale copy of a storefront page for a short time after a change. A hard refresh or an incognito window is the fastest way to rule this out before assuming the setting itself didn't save.

Confirm you're looking at the right blog

On stores with more than one blog, a change made on one blog's page has no effect on another's, because tag visibility, ordering and article counts are all set per blog. Double-check you edited the blog you're viewing on the storefront.

Theme editor preview vs. live storefront

Colour and style changes made in the app appear immediately in the theme editor's preview, separately from your live storefront. This is intentional, so you can check a look before it's necessarily visible to shoppers browsing the actual page (which reflects the same saved settings, just via a different, normally-cached path).

If a change genuinely isn't reaching the live storefront after ruling out the above, contact support with your shop domain and what you changed.
